Its many natural, well-groomed toboggan runs have made the Wilder Kaiser region a popular destination for tobogganists. Four family-friendly toboggan runs with a combined length of more than 12 kilometres and some artificially snow-covered sections will get you up to speed in no time.

No less than four toboggan runs with lighting ensure lots of tobogganing fun at night.

Cross-country skiing

Over 45 kilometres of groomed cross-country ski trails.

The gently undulating landscape at the foot of the Wilder Kaiser is perfect for cross-country skiing in Tirol. Beginners and experts alike will love the well-groomed cross-country ski trails that connect the four villages of Going, Ellmau, Scheffau and Söll. All trails are suitable for classic cross-country skiing and skating.

Around 170 kilometres of winter hiking routes in Tirol’s Wilder Kaiser region.

The Wilder Kaiser ski area is considered one of the most modern in the world. 284 kilometres of perfectly groomed pistes can be reached with 90 modern lifts and mountain railways. You can take a break in 81 huts. 65 kilometres of groomed cross-country trails invite you to cross-country skiing, some of them also for skating. Or you can go on a winter hike, one of which leads to the locations for 'Bergdoktor'. Indoor swimming pools, an igloo village and climbing halls are ideal for days when you don't want to be in the snow.

The annual winter special of the Bergdoktor show features as much excitement and emotion as any other episode, but they are presented on a very special stage: the gorgeous winter landscape of the Wilder Kaiser mountain range.
